About the Opportunity:
As a Design Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping projects from concept to handover. Working closely with the Head of Construction, you’ll coordinate front-end design processes, ensuring alignment with client objectives, stakeholder requirements, and budget constraints. Your ability to bridge design and delivery will ensure clarity, efficiency, and compliance at every stage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive design optimization to meet budget and client expectations.
- Review construction drawings and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
- Apply lessons learned from past projects to enhance current design outcomes.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve design challenges
- Manage documentation registers, ensuring timely reviews and updates.
- Resolve ambiguities in project plans and ensure compliance with DA conditions, building codes, and regulations.
- Prepare and maintain DA compliance matrices.
- Lead consultant teams, ensuring adherence to design timelines and budgets.
- Facilitate seamless transitions from design to delivery teams.
What We’re Looking For:
- A relevant qualification in construction, design, or a related field.
- Experience in construction working for a head contractor.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- A methodical approach with a focus on delivering results.
